Abu Dhabi, UAE: The job market in the UAE is strengthening further as employers plan to hire prospective candidates in the next few months at a higher pace. The increased number of employers and vacancies at the region's most important and influential recruitment event Tawdheef provides an interesting snapshot into the recruitment sector as companies continue to make steady progress in 2011.
Building on the overwhelming response from companies wishing to exhibit, the show has expanded its site with the addition of two more exhibition halls to accommodate over 100 leading governmental, semi-governmental departments and private sector companies needing to advertise roles.
"The response Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and Turret Media have received is highly commendable and encouraging for the UAE job market," said Chris Fountain, Director of Tawdheef and Managing Director of Turret Media. "Companies continue to positively achieve sustainable economic growth and social inclusion objectives, as outlined in the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, giving a more positive outlook of the region's recruitment market."
Leading companies and organisations looking forward to cater for over 20,000 jobseekers include, Abu Dhabi Educational Council, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), Abu Dhabi Ports Company, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, UAE Navy, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Department of Municipal Affairs, Abu Dhabi Police, Etihad Airways, DU, Etisalat, Agthia, Mubadala and Dolphin Energy.
Michael P. Newnham, Group Director of Human Resources, Abu Dhabi National Hotels - one of the major exhibitor at Tawdheef 2011, said, "Tourism is a fast growing industry in Abu Dhabi and features strongly in the Government's economic diversification strategies. ADNH will be at the forefront of these developments, dispelling many of the taboos associated with employment in hospitality, and showing just how dynamic and exciting our workplaces are. We provide excellent career opportunities for young Emiratis who will also act as ambassadors and role models. At Tawdheef, we are looking to attract such people."
According to Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, the job positions they will be advertising at the show are in line with the company's expansion strategy.
Jalal Al-Khaled, Chief Human Resources Officer said, "Our selection of the best candidates will allow them to experience ADNIC's initiatives and actions as being the 'Employer of Choice'. We are focusing on improving the Human Resource Management function to enhance our recruitment process and to make ADNIC very competitive in the market. Tawdheef is in harmony with ADNIC's human resource objectives."
Organized by Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and Turret Media, the fifth edition of the show will be held at Hall 3-6, from January 25 till 27, 2011 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.
The key focus for this year will be matching visitors for specific roles available at the show. Fountain explained, "Our team is working with the employers to collate data on the roles available and recommend candidates according to skills and qualifications."
"We call on jobseekers and employers to embrace these initiatives and maximize the opportunities this event provides. Through activities such as these, we can help to meet the human resource needs of a rapidly changing and diversifying economy."
