Dubai - Ras Al Khaimah - UAE 21 February 2008: Ras Al Khaimah Police Department and TABEER yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering joint collaborative efforts aimed at developing the electronic and print content of Ras Al Khaimah Police's media communications.

The MOU outlines the methodology of cooperation between the Ras Al Khaimah Police Department and TABEER with the objective of further enhancing the Department's message and media communication via the Department's website and various publications, brochures and other media communications.

Brigadier General Shaikh Talib bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director General, Ras Al Khaimah Police Department, was represented by Lt. Colonel Tariq Mohamed bin Saif, Chief of Relations and Moral Guidance. Upon signing the MOU the Lt. Colonel commented: "Efforts exerted by Ras Al Khaimah Police to enhance its media communication are aimed at achieving excellence inline with the overall developmental objectives of the emirate in particular, and the renaissance currently witnessed in the UAE as a whole, as well as meeting the Ministry of Interior's aspirations in terms of advancement and initiative concerning security provided by the police."

Tariq bin Saif added that this MOU comes as a result of the Police Department's endeavors towards advancement, under the guidance and leadership of its Director General, Brigadier General Sheikh bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who has always urged excellence on all levels.

On his part, Maher Al Junaidy, Executive Director of TABEER, commented: "We are very pleased with the confidence placed in us by Ras Al Khaimah Police Department towards developing their electronic and print content, and in providing them with professional advice in this regard." He added: "Ensuring content quality at the highest standards which is inline with modern technology is the focus of the directives of Brigadier General Shaikh Talib bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Police. This is also the purpose and objective of this collaboration between our organizations."

The collaboration includes offering advice, preparing studies, providing content and related services such as editorial services and translation, as well as web development for the Ras Al Khaimah Police Website. In accordance with the MOU, TABEER will enjoy exclusivity in providing these services to Ras Al Khaimah Police Department.
