Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts has appointed Peter Schiess to run its resort property on the banks of the red sea in Taba, Egypt.
Schiess, a Swiss national, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry having held various management and executive positions. He started his career in the food and beverage department. In 1994 he moved to Egypt as General Manager of the Ghazala Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. He was also responsible for four properties as Managing Director of South Sinai Hotels before moving to Finland to become owner and manager of the Hotel & Restaurant Paljakka.
Jean-Marc Busato, Area Vice President, The Rezidor Hotel Group, Middle East said," With our strong presence in Eygpt, we needed an experienced person to enhance our operations in the country. With his relevant market knowledge, I am confident he will manage the resort successfully."
The resort has 345 rooms and an extensive choice of restaurants. There are two swimming pools as well as a children's pool and club and spa facilities. In addition, the magnificent beach resort offers horseback riding, quad biking, archery and games on a multipurpose court.
Currently Rezidor manages four properties on the Red Sea - El Quseir, Taba and two in Sharm El Sheikh.
