Doha: QNB launched yesterday its new Islamic-banking branch (QNB Al Islami) at Salwa Road.

A delegation of QNB senior management headed by Saeed bin Abdullah Al Misnad, chief executive, QNB, visited the bank's branch at Salwa Road. The bank will be fully dedicated to offer Islamic banking services.

"We are thrilled to open our very first Islamic banking branch to serve our valued customers", said Al Misnad.

"QNB Al Islami is aligned with our 'Go Forward' strategy. It is another brick added to our brand pillars of community, growth and prosperity".

The new branch will offer exclusively Islamic financial services that fully comply with the Islamic Sharia guidelines and the regulations set by Qatar Central Bank (QCB).

The Islamic banking services include Current Account, Call Investment Account, Savings Investment Account, Fixed Investment Deposit, Domestic Murabaha Finance for vehicles and goods. A ladies section has also been opened.

QNB will provide additional Islamic products in the near future. These will help re-assure customers that QNB's Islamic offerings have been created with sincerity and integrity to suit their needs, a news release issued by QNB said.

"More outlets offering exclusively Islamic products under the QNB Al Islami brand will be opened in the near future", Al Misnad added.
