QDVC was proud to receive the Qatar Today Green Award, category "Green Roof and Green Building Design", at the Awards Ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday evening. The construction company, founded three years ago by Qatari Diar and the French worldwide leader for construction VINCI, has a strong sustainable development policy as its two shareholders.

It's a great honor to receive this award from a jury of experts, and we consider this award as a precious recognition of our efforts and achievements for sustainable development.
At QDVC, we are not only focusing on building parking, metro, resorts, but also the future of the country and the next generation. That's why all our projects are environment-focused from the design phase to the client's final use. Our sustainable development commitments include protection of environment but also society and social issues. Our actions include technical and human aspects as all the employees and their families are invited to participate in different recycling or social activities.
Our aim is definitely to insert and develop the local business network by implementing the highest construction standards and raise awareness among the population on sustainable development issues" said Hamad Al Bishri, Deputy CEO of QDVC.
QDVC already inked a deal with Qtel for used mobile phones recycling, with Doha Plastic for the plastic waste; the paper and cardboard waste produced in the offices as well as its used oil are also collected and recycled locally, and all communication support are printed on recycled paper. QDVC is also member in the Qatari Green Building Council.
