Being held at the Global Theatre on Saturday evening, Jhalak Dikhlaaja will keep dance enthusiasts delighted
January 20 at the Global Theatre in the Global Village will be a treat for dance enthusiasts with feet that love to move to a rhythm of its own. The Jhalak Dikhlaaja dance show is to be staged at the grandiose venue at 9pm. Entry to the show is free and those armed with the entry ticket to the Global Village are entitled to an evening of incredible dancing. Jhalak Dikhlaaja that is being aired on Sony TV is one of the most watched in Indian television enjoying a TRP that is constantly on the rise.
Mona Singh who has endeared herself to the Indian audience with her title role in Jassi Jaisi koi Nahin will perform with choreographer Toby Fernandes. Sharing stage space with the duo will be Shveta Salve and choreographer Longi. The scintillating moves from all the dancers will be a small sample for what took the show to top of the charts. Other dancing professionals such as Reha, Bindi, Firoze and Sonia will also do the honours for the cheering audience seated at the Global theatre.
Jhalak Dikhlaaja is a unique 'dancing show' based on the internationally popular reality show `Dancing with the stars.' With celebrity participation, some amazing choreography and judges who command considerable credibility, the show is a winner all the way.
The show has been conceived to bring the competition to a heart-beating finish, starting with eight celebrities pairing with eight other professional dancers, all of them eager to put their best foot forward. Then begins the elimination rounds with the competition inching towards a grand finale. Celebrities are from various walks of life comprising sportspersons, actors, politicians and others.
The dances are set to Bollywood moves and tunes. The Salsa, Samba, Rhumba, Jive, Waltz, Cha Cha, Fox Trot, Tango, Paso Doble, Disco, Bhangra, Dandiya, the beat and rhythm of the various dance forms might be different, the passion to move the feet remains a constant.
The show will be filled with high energy and vibrancy that will set the stage on fire with dexterous dances and captivating choreography. January 20 is therefore the day to mark in red, for it is an event not to be missed - certainly not when the feet are ready to take off on a tango!
The combined edition of DSF 2006-2007 will run from December 20, 2006 to February 2, 2007. The 45 days of family fun, entertainment and shopping frenzy will offer retrospective glimpses of the 10 previous editions combining the best of the best and promises to be even bigger and better.
