Dubai, UAE, October 17, 2004 - Philips recently organised the second "Train the Trainer" course for 12 Philips instructors based across the Middle East, Africa and Malta. The four-day course delivered the latest information on Philips domestic appliances and personal care products, gave instruction on how to be a good trainer and offered the best ways to conduct and prepare training sessions.

Held in Dubai, home of Philips' regional headquarters, the trainers participated in many activities, among them a male shaving and grooming session and a food and beverage cooking session.

The grooming activity was held at the Beverly Hills Salon at Bur Juman Mall and involved salon staff demonstrating the Philishave range on the trainers. The cooking activity required trainers to get up first thing in the morning to cook their own breakfast using Philips kitchen appliances.

The course concluded with an awards ceremony that included presenting the 2003-2004 Best Trainer Award to Al Ghandi Electronics, Philips' distributor in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, for the many training sessions held for its sales team.
