Fast-growing café franchise introduced by Emirati businesswoman to expand operations in The Dubai Mall

Dubai, UAE - 22 April 2012 PappaRoti, which has quickly established itself as one of The Dubai Mall's favourite cafés, has expanded its operations to include a second outlet to cater to growing demand for its world-famous buns and signature drinks. The new outlet, which was launched with an opening ceremony that took place at the café on Saturday 21st April, 2012, will be the 17th to open in the Middle East.

In an effort to alleviate the consistent waiting lists for seats in its original outlet, the new café located on Dubai Mall's second floor, opposite Hamley's Toy Store, more than doubles the café's capacity to meet customers demand for the delicious coffee caramel buns.

Emirati entrepreneur, Rasha Al Danhani, Chairman and owner of PappaRoti Café, who introduced the concept to the UAE, says the legendary bun is a unique recipe that surpasses cultural diversity and appeals to an international audience. This made it a perfect fit for the UAE's cosmopolitan café culture. Even so she has been pleasantly surprised by its huge popularity across the Emirates.

"It's no secret that food has the distinct ability to gather different cultures and people from various walks of life, and the PappaRoti recipe seems to have done just that.  I'm pleased to say that as a result, the famous PappaRoti bun has grown to become one of the food and beverage industry's most amazing success stories," says Al Danhani. "Not only do we offer our tasty signature buns in addition to a wide variety of delicious beverage options, but PappaRoti is also a veritable assault on the senses."

"From the distinctive aroma of the bun that entices customers, to the visually appealing array of frothy drinks, the delectable taste has garnered wide-spread acclaim and demand," she adds.

Al Danhani adds that the new outlet is the signature store, demonstrating PappaRoti's new look and feel, which is also reflected in a more versatile menu. This design will set the standard to be followed and implemented in the chain of PappaRoti cafés across the Middle East.

"It has a more traditional café vibe, comprising a private area and seating for up to 100 people at a time. One thing that we can guarantee won't change is the competency level of our expert baristas who extract the finest quality coffee from 100% organic fair trade beans."

"In addition, we will also be delivering a new twist to our popular milk tea by diversifying the range of flavours, alongside some new signature hot and cold drinks," she continued.

Since its introduction into the region in 2009, PappaRoti has undertaken a progressive growth strategy within the Middle East, which has resulted in the establishment of 17 cafes in the last four years and 12 more planned to open across the GCC over the next 3 months.
