Reasonably priced high performance KV-S7065C is suited for SMB (small and medium businesses in the Middle East region

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics, telecommunications and home appliances products, will be introducing a 60 ppm (page per minute) Colour Duplex Scanner as part of its office solutions line, at GITEX Dubai 2004. The exhibition will be held at Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from October 3 to 7, 2004.
The KV-S7065C is a flatbed duplex scanner with automatic document feeder capabilities. Its affordable price and high-performance features make it ideally suited for departmental work environments or medium sized businesses, while the flatbed design makes it very easy to use even while scanning books, magazines or delicate documents.
"Flatbed scanners are the most convenient as they can be used to scan almost any type of document. The KV-S7065C also has an Automatic Binary / Color distinction that automatically recognizes color and black and white pages. This feature reduces scan to file size and ensures a more efficient scanning process," said Hitoshi Shigetomi, Manager, System Products, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE, Dubai.
"For offices that have medium to heavy usage, the KV-S7065C can prove to be quite cost-effective as it utilizes high-yield easy-to-replace consumables that eliminate the downtime waiting for a service technician to replace rollers and increase overall return-on-investment," he added.
The high-performance KV-S7065C scans originals at a speed of 60 documents (200 dpi, DIN A4, portrait) a minute in Simplex mode and up to 100 ipm (images per minute) in Duplex mode (Black and white, shading-shading 8 bit, 24 bit colour). Thanks to the automatic document feeder with up to 200 documents (64g/m) the automatic paper feeder (ADF) rarely needs to be reloaded.
The KV-S7065C offers many possibilities for modern document management and makes archival storae simple and secure. Apart from gray-shading and black and white scans,
it is also possible to scan in colour so that the details in the originals are scanned with even more accuracy. With the KV-S7065C single-sided (in Simplex mode) and double-sided scans (in Duplex Mode) are possible. The space-saving flatbed scanner guarantees fast processing not only for standard originals, but also for complicated ones. Like all equipment in the Panasonic family of scanners, it is distinguished by an outstanding image quality, excellent paper handling, an innovative Image Enhancement Technology (P.I.E.), which can sometimes offer even better resolution than the original, and a robust design. This model also comes with Panasonic Capture Software (RTIV) and a user service-programme.
The KV-S7065C has a variety of interface possibilities making it very flexible. It is equipped with a "Dual Interface" (USB 2.0 & SCSI Interface). An optional pre-imprinter is also available for customized identification of documents, offering even more security.
It also offers economical usage options: up to three colour areas in a document can be selected as dropout colours and eliminated from the scan. In this way red, blue or green background elements can be left out of bank transfer forms, for example, to reduce memory space. Additional safety is ensured by the double feed-control (ultrasonic).
Panasonic will also be introducing the A3 colour KV-S3065C
ADF scanner with similar specifications. The company's office solutions range is available through its UAE distributor, Al Futtaim Panatech, part of the Al Futtaim Group.
