Oracle's largest pavilion to host Industry Specific Strategy Seminars and showcase Oracle latest technology

Dubai, UAE - October 17, 2010

Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL), today announced that it would seize the GITEX 2010 platform to share its strategy and roadmap with its customers as well as to introduce breakthrough applications to the region through a series of vertical demonstrations and industry seminars led by Oracle's experts.

During the Show, Oracle and its partners will network and showcase their solutions and technologies offering an insight into how Oracle can transform the industry with a complete technology sack, from applications to disk, engineered to work together. The event will also offer a unique environment where Oracle executives, partners, current and potential customers meet to discuss their IT and business needs.

For 20 consecutive years, Oracle has been associated with GITEX as a major trade show that provides a very pertinent platform for Oracle to network with its current and potential customers in the region and update the industry on its technology and applications innovations. This year, Oracle will again stand out at GITEX in what is considered by many to be the company's most important participation in a trade show outside North America, in clear indication of the importance of GITEX.

With more than 100 sessions, 35 partners' exhibits and hundreds of demos to explore, Oracle's customers will discover new ways to optimize their systems and new solutions that will take their business to the next level. The sessions will be held at Oracle World and will aim at engaging participants in discussions to address key technologies, applications, solution areas, and industry's future trends.

GITEX 2010 will also provide an opportunity to promote the combination of Oracle and Sun solutions for ME customers to benefit from the fully integrated systems - the entire stack, from applications to disk - that are faster, more reliable, and lower cost. Oracle's portfolio has now evolved with the addition of Sun's servers, storage, SPARC, and software technologies such as Solaris, MySQL, and Java.

As a world's leader in software and hardware technology, Oracle has constantly participated in GITEX to unveil its products and keep its stakeholders abreast of Oracle's innovation and leadership. This year's GITEX edition will be no exception; Oracle World will offer a unique opportunity to view live demos of the latest products launched and to interact with Oracle specialists offering free consultancy sessions.

Among the new products of Oracle to be unveiled during BITEX 23010 is Oracle Exadata Database Machine. This is the only database machine that provides extreme performance for both data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) applications, making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto grids or private clouds. It is a complete package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure, and redundant. With Oracle Exadata Database Machine, customers can reduce IT costs through consolidation, manage more data on multiple compression tiers, improve performance of all applications, and make better business decisions in real time.

Oracle will also unveil Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud which is the world's first and only integrated middleware machine--hardware and software engineered together to provide a "cloud in a box". Exalogic is designed to revolutionize data center consolidation, enabling enterprises to bring together tens, hundreds, or even thousands of disparate, mission-critical, performance-sensitive workloads with maximum reliability, availability, and security. Oracle Exalogic's unique high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnect fabric means that complex, distributed applications can run with a responsiveness simply not achievable with typical servers used in data centers today.

Oracle Fusion Applications will be showcased during GiTEX 2010. Designed from the ground up using the latest technology advances and incorporating the best practices gathered from Oracle's thousands of customers, Oracle Fusion Applications are 100% open-standards-based business applications that set a new standard for the way we innovate, work, and adopt technology.

Oracle's products have gained an unsurpassed reputation in the ME region in facilitating business practice. They have helped organizations and businesses sustain their growth and expansion through integrated solutions that address issues of scalability, visibility, transparency, process streamlining, decision making and other obstacles traditionally challenging businesses' performance across various divisions such as finance, HR, sales, management, marketing, etc,.

Oracle World will take center stage at GITEX with the event's largest pavilion in hall X of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
