Kuwait, Kuwait City: Ooredoo Telecom, the first to introduce innovative digital services in Kuwait, announced its participation in the awareness campaign under the slogan "Safe Education" launched beginning of October 2021. The comprehensive campaign “Safe Education” came as a result of the unremitting efforts and collaboration of four ministries which are; the ministry of interior, ministry of education, ministry of health, and ministry of information, and aims to ensure a safe return of students to the in-class learning, in line with all the precautionary measures in place.
The campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage all members of society to support the governmental efforts and initiatives in the field of preparation for the return of students to school at the beginning of the academic year 2021-2022. Further, the state and participating ministries have declared the main objectives of the campaign, which focus on achieving a set of goals that ensures a safe start for the new school year, the most important of which is enhancing students’ self-esteem and making the school the place to learn and build friendships among children safely.
From its side, Ooredoo Kuwait explained their participation in this campaign which is driven by the company’s effective role in the local community as well as supporting government agencies, their initiatives and activities. Therefore, the company created a strategic communication plan aimed at conveying the main message and the ultimate goal of the campaign in all press, digital and radio stations, including displaying the logo and video of the campaign on the Ooredoo Tower, and sending awareness text messages to all Ooredoo customers.
The campaign includes working on designing video and various awareness tips and messages that embody the campaign’s main objectives and simulate a safe return to schools, and communicating with various media outlets at the state level to implement interventions and interviews on the campaign topic.
In the same stream, the state announced its strict commitment to the preventive measures inside schools and classrooms, including the social distancing between tables and chairs at a distance of one meter, the provision of sterilization tools and masks inside the classrooms, and not exceeding the allowed total number of students in each class which is twenty (20) students only.
