OKI targets SOHO with versatile four-in-one A4 colour printer solution

OKI's new MC160n MFP provides cost-effective entry-level solution in fast-growing market sector - Energy Star compliant

Dubai, UAE, 31 January 2010: OKI Printing Solutions, a leader in the global colour printing market, announced the launch of its new MC160n to meet the growing demand for multifunction products (MFPs) from businesses of all sizes. This entry-level product forms part of OKI's growing range of MFPs and is targeted at the important micro, home and small office sector.

"The MC160n is ideally designed for the small office, home office (SOHO) user under tight space and cost constraints looking to achieve more with less," confirms John Ross, general manager, Middle East, India, North East of Africa, OKI Printing Solutions. Providing fast mono 20 pages per minute (ppm) and 5ppm colour capability, the MC160n incorporates a multi-pass laser engine. "Many businesses in this market have an occasional need to print in colour, for example when preparing invoices or printing letterheads," says Ross, "and multi-pass products offer a cost-effective solution in meeting this requirement. Similarly, though mono is sufficient for the majority of small office needs, colour laser printing is perfect for this type of output."

Better 'green' performance

As part of OKI's broader commitment to developing more environmentally-friendly printing solutions, the MC160n has secured Energy Star compliance. This is a US Government-supported programme targeted at businesses and individuals and designed to protect the environment through improved energy efficiency.

At the same time, MC160n customers will also benefit from OKI's three-year warranty, for which purchasers simply have to register on-line. "This will give small business and home office users extra peace of mind in maintaining business-critical in-house print/copy/scan/fax capability," says Ross.
