Additive technology powers new driving era

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) LLC has unveiled its new service station image and, along with its Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO) LLC subsidiary has launched two new brands of petrol – Xtreme 95 and XtremePlus 98 – to provide UAE motorists with improved vehicle performance at no extra cost.

“These two developments are milestones in the progression of ENOC and assist our campaign to be the motorists’ Fuel Brand of Choice,” said Hussain Sultan, Group Chief Executive, ENOC.

The new image and two new fuels are aimed at differentiating ENOC from its competitors and at retaining the Group’s reputation for setting service and quality benchmarks within the petroleum retailing industry.

“ENOC and EPPCO pioneered the selling of quality enhanced fuel in the UAE and set the benchmark for service levels. With the launch of the Xtreme brand of fuel, ENOC and EPPCO have continued to set the benchmark for fuel quality in the industry,” said Sultan. “At no extra costs to the consumer, both fuels ensure maximum vehicle performance, reduce harmful emissions and offer better value for money than any other fuel currently available in the UAE.”

Xtreme 95 and XtremePlus 98 are produced by blending ordinary 95 and 98 octane unleaded fuel with specially formulated performance enhancing additives, produced by industry giant Chevron Texaco Oronite. The additives act as cleaning agents for fuel intake systems, and provide a host of unique benefits for engines, the environment and drivers.

Regular use of the high grade XtremePlus 98 fuel ensures a cleaner engine, which means better performance, less need for servicing, reduced fuel consumption, fewer engine problems and longer engine life, as well as greater peace of mind for the driver.

“XtremePlus 98 brings out the best from an engine, and provides drivers with a consistently better driving experience,” added Sultan.

“XtremePlus98 is ideal for drivers who are concerned about their engine, their vehicle performance, and for the environment. It is a superior product for superior vehicles.”

The launch of new fuels comes as ENOC unveils its new service station image at the Jebel Ali Gardens and JAFZA sites. The new image is aimed at improving the visibility, appearance and standard of facility being offered at ENOC service stations.

“The result is a greatly enhanced look, particularly at night, thanks to a much brighter lighting solution under the fuel canopy, and on the exterior and interior of the Aqua convenience store,” said Sultan.

The Aqua convenience store also has a new look. The shop has been redesigned to enable merchandise to be better displayed and to make it easier for customers to select what they need. The payment counter has been enlarged to make it more customer friendly, and a lighter use of colours gives the shop a brighter, more spacious feel.

The Aqua now has an enlarged food area offering hot and chilled meals to go, and includes a small seating counter and stand-up table. The food offer itself has been expanded to include Dunkin’ Donuts®, a wider bakery range as well as freshly ground coffee. Extra cool room doors enable a larger range of chilled drinks, juices, milk and dairy products to be carried and displayed.

An ATM has also been added inside the shop giving customers the convenience of one-stop shopping, where they can get all their everyday needs from fuel to cash and the daily newspaper.

New auto-related services include a car servicing facility with superior automatic and manual car wash, vacuum bay and quick oil change all together in an easily accessible area, built around a modern waiting room with fully-glazed floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides to enable customers to observe services being performed on their cars.

The forecourt area around the pumps is brighter, more spacious and carries a back-lit ENOC logo above each pump island to enhance the Xtreme fuel branding at the pump.

“The sales speak for themselves,” said Sultan. “Within a few short weeks of opening, the prototype site at Jebel Ali Gardens has already become one of the best performing outlets in the 160-strong ENOC/EPPCO service station network.”

A Dhs 1.6 million ground-breaking marketing campaign has been instigated to promote the new Xtreme fuel brands.

“This includes an extensive cinema commercial, radio, print and outdoor advertisements as well as major branding at out sites,” said Sultan. “The campaign will hit on December 18 when Xtreme will be highly visible throughout our area of operations.”
