Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, May 17th, 2011- The Human Resources team at Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has introduced new electronic systems that allow employees to execute their tasks more efficiently.
Significantly increasing processes' efficiency and speed, the new online recruitment system allows job seekers to submit applications to join SWCC online. In addition, existing employees can use the system to request internal recruitment or transfer between various departments inside SWCC.
Also in place now is an attendance system which enables department heads to process employees' attendance data quickly and accurately, and generate tailor-made electronic reports. The new systems also include an electronic training module to which employees can apply according to their specific training requirements, and which issues completion certificates thus helping the management define the right career paths and development for the employees.
Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Khedher, director of the Electronic Transformation Programme (e-TP) at SWCC said: "We are proud that we are able to provide employment opportunities for the qualified Saudi youth. We are committed to recruiting more nationals as we are confident that they have great skills and progress potentials. We see it as a long term investment in human resources and that is why we continuously offer training programmes to raise employees' performance and productivity levels".
In the meantime, the human resources team completed work on a digital hub linking the human resources system with all the clinics spread in SWCC desalination plants in the Kingdom. The link channels all approved sick leaves electronically thus cutting paperwork and saving time and efforts.
Fahad bin Ahmad Al Jumaa, human resources Manager, said: "We have developed tailor made solutions to support and streamline the work of the huge number of employees working at SWCC in light of the continuous support of his Excellency Fehied bin Fahad Al Shareef, SWCC's Governor, and Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed AlKhedher, e-TP director.
The human resources project has successfully completed the first phase in February 2010, and has recently completed the second phase which includes the launching of the mentioned systems for all SWCC employees. A total of 266,055 transactions were completed by 7,694 users.
