Steven Chen to lead growth strategy for notebook division for Greater APAC region

Dubai, U.A.E - 2nd November 2011 - MSI (Micro-Star International), one of the world's leading manufacturers of laptops, All-in-one PCs, tablets, graphics cards, and motherboards, recently announced the appointment of Steven Chen as Regional Sales Director for the notebook division at MSI headquarters in Taipei. Mr Chen's region, the Greater APAC, includes the Asia Pacific (APAC), Southeast Asia (SEA), India and Middle East Africa (MEA) regions. The new Regional Director will build a strategy and expand the MSI business in emerging markets.

In his new role as Regional Sales Director, Mr. Chen will ensure that each country team has the same scope, values and direction for the MSI brand. Additionally he is tasked with expanding the company's regional presence in countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Chen was appointed Regional Sales Director based on his previous success partnering with new distributors in China and significantly expanding the notebook market in Southeast Asia and India.

Steven Chen's appointment comes at a critical time for business in the Middle East region as MSI continues to expand, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Regionally MSI's sales increased 180% in 2011 versus 2010.
