As part of their continuous efforts to support the Jordan e-Government Program, Microsoft Jordan and STS, Jordan's leading IT service and enterprise solution provider and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, have successfully developed and delivered the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.

The ESB was customized for the Government of Jordan to help enhance the user experience by facilitating the integration and collaboration of various cross-government e-services, allowing them to provide their services more efficiently and accurately. The ESB will also enable governmental institutions to share and exchange data, verify identification numbers, ensure data security and execute payments in a more convenient, safe and cost-effective manner. The unified infrastructure and central connection system will connect government institutions to provide a safe and flexible environment for e-services that will deliver more value and convenience to the end users.

His Excellency Marwan Juma, the Minister of Information and Communications Technology, stated, "This project falls in line with the Ministry's objective to enhance the performance, transparency and efficiency of public sector institutions by adopting and implementing the latest technology solutions."

The Minister went on to say that public-private partnerships play a vital role in providing Jordanians with enhanced services. Some of the projects he focused on include automated systems for organizations, enhanced technical capabilities, and a sophisticated communications infrastructure for e-services.

Rula Ammuri, Microsoft Jordan Country Manager stated, "The Enterprise Service Bus is a key enabler in implementing real-time messaging, integration and Web service management for the Government of Jordan to provide its end-users with accurate, efficient and easily-accessible online services. The Enterprise Service Bus project is part of our ongoing efforts to support the e-Government Program by enabling a service-oriented architecture that will enhance government performance and efficiency as well as deliver high-quality services to consumers, businesses and organizations."

Aiman Mazahreh, STS General Manager said, "Enterprises and government organizations rely on world-class infrastructure as the foundation of their business integration. More importantly, enterprise service bus is aligned with a service-oriented architecture that enables government entities in Jordan to be operationally receptive to changing conditions and customer interactions to drive greater efficiencies, reduce the cost of IT investments and minimize risk."

Jordan is among the first countries to adopt the Enterprise Service Bus from Microsoft. Microsoft and STS will continue to provide support to the MoICT to ensure the effective utilization of the ESB.

It should be noted that Microsoft and STS have formed a solid partnership over the years, and served a long list of customers in all market segments with the most advanced Microsoft technologies that are both efficient and cost-effective.
