RIYADH, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sunday, June 10, 2007: Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) Saturday announced in a company statement the addition of online payment for postpaid customers via credit card through its secure website.
The new payment facility comes as part of an agreement with Mobily and the National Commercial Bank, whereby the bank acts as a clearing house for all Visa and MasterCard transactions, using the Verified by Visa and 3D Secure Code platforms.
Customers roaming and travelling abroad can now pay their bills and top up their balances from anywhere in the world through Mobily's ePortal (www.mobily.com.sa) customer care facility, bringing the number of payment channels to five.
Mobily customers visiting showrooms can pay cash, through credit and debit cards, with the assistance of a customer service representative, or they can serve themselves and use Mobily auto machines - ATM-like terminals that accept bills and automatically debit customer accounts with payments.
Visa and MasterCard holders seeking to pay their bills through Mobily's secure website, need to register for online service by visiting (www.mobily.com.sa), then wait for 24 hours for bill presentation. If a customer has already registered for online service, they can pay their bill by going to the Billing and Payment section of the online service facility and then choosing Credit Card Payment.
Once inside that section, they can setup a new credit card for payment securely and use that card to pay their bills.
In order to guard against fraud, credit card details are not stored online, and as such customers cannot setup a credit card for automatic payment. Rather, each credit card has to be authorized each time the customer wishes to use it for payment.
