MobileCom hits the list of 20 operators worldwide in providing MMS services
Postpaid and prepaid users to enjoy sharing images and sounds over a mobile network

Building on its commitment to provide highly advanced services to its customers across the Kingdom, MobileCom announced today that the company will be launching its Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) soon, the company earlier successfully demonstrated and tested the service which allows users to send high-quality digital images and sound files across its 2.5 G network. Both postpaid and prepaid customers will be able to enjoy this service through their GPRS/MMS enabled handsets.
MobileCom will soon be launching MMS service across its 2.5 G network to both its postpaid and prepaid users so that all our customers can enjoy the powerful new service, said Erick Valette, chief marketing officer at MobileCom. MMS is the natural evolution for SMS, taking communications on to a new level and keeping customers connected with pictures and sound. MobileCom will be among the first 20 operators in the world to provide such an exciting new service to its customers.
MMS introduces a new concept in mobile communications; users can now share pictures and audio files over a mobile network among friends, family and colleagues. Users will also have the ability to catch both images and sounds, and send them to friends on their MMS-enabled handset or even to e-mail. During the press meeting, which was held at MobileComs headquarters, MobileCom delivered a demo and presentation to the journalists to brief them about the advantages of the new service which enables users to exchange picture and voice messages, journalists were able to get first hand try on the new service using the latest MMS enabled handsets.
MobileComs launch of MMS in the near future reflects the companys commitment towards it customers by providing them with the latest technologies available globally, said Yanal Mufti, communications manager at MobileCom. MMS is a powerful new tool that takes mobile communication to a new level; images and sound files enhance the appeal of mobile phones and enrich the users experience by adding high quality digital sound and picture to todays services.
