Achieved Tremendous Success and Remarkable Attendance in its 42nd Edition at Expo Centre Sharjah

The Middle East Watch & Jewellery Show, held at the Expo Centre Sharjah from April 4 to April 8, successfully concluded on Saturday, achieving success in the number of visitors and the number of international participating companies. In its 42nd edition, the show attracted over 500 brands from across 20 countries, and brought them under one roof.

The show also witnessed a staggering turn out of visitors that reached 62,000 visitors, with a 15% increase compared to approximately 60,000 visitors recorded at the show’s 41st edition.

Since its inception, the show grew steadily into an important platform on regional and international levels. The show is the first of its kind to be held biannually, thus fostering its position as a leading, specialized exhibition.

H.E. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to fully support the Middle East Watches and Jewellery Exhibition, which has become one of the most prestigious exhibitions on Expo’s annual agenda, and one of the important economic events witnessed by the emirate.

Al Owais added: "The Middle East Watches and Jewellery Show has been constantly able to attract the big players in the world of jewellery and watches year after year, and help explore the opportunities in Sharjah's rapidly growing economy.”

His Excellency Saif Al-Mifda, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah said: “In its 42nd edition, the Middle East exhibition has become a melting pot for major companies and renowned brands in the fine watches and jewellery sectors. The exhibition is becoming increasingly important as these companies seek to strengthen their presence in the Middle East and expand their business in one of the most promising markets in the world.”

The Exhibition attracted Exhibitors from over 20 countries participated in the show, coming from Italy, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Turkey, India, Japan, Malaysia, and the United States. From the Arab World, exhibitors came from Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

The Show saw the participation of over 500 exhibitors from the world’s leading jewelers, world-class gold, diamond and jewelry brands, gems, pearls, fine watches and other precious metals. Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery was the platinum sponsor of the event that witnessed a draw on a luxurious BMW car on its last day, in addition to an array of valuable prizes.
