Amman-Jordan: Initiated lately by Al Jude for Science Care, Meydan is an organization that supports youth and their innovative ideas by developing such creativity from concept to real business in a record time.
The initiative aims at encouraging people with ideas: the youth, university students, young professionals, and anyone with inventive and applicable ideas to transform them into real business, applicable in real life.
Mr. Maher Kaddoura, the Chief mentorship Officer and Meydan Founder, said: "There are great potentials and ideas waiting to be utilized, especially among the youth. However, such ideas require embracing and continued support to apply (them), and we, through Meydan initiative, intend to bring creative ideas together, sort them out, short list the finest ones, discuss them, support them, and ultimately adopt them, as promptly as we possibly can. We must always capture every moment, realizing, at the same time, that promptness is the key word to success".
He further added: "Right Pixels is a true inspiring Meydan success story; a website which offers professional services and a one stop shop for all businesses that need to build a website, RightPixels.com is Jawdat Shammas, the founder's initiative, whose website was adopted and released only in 76 days; we really hope that we could realize other projects in a record time."
Khaled Sadeddin Meydan's Chief Coach Manager said: "we know that most of the youth are unemployed, although they have great potentials and ideas. However, they don't find the right opportunities to utilize their energies, instead, they may even lose their abilities as soon as they graduate and face the reality of the limited employment opportunities. We, through Meydan Project, can help them challenge unemployment, and carry out successful projects, with the hope to attain the desired ends as soon as we possibly can".
Throughout the first two batches, 150 ideas have been received; 80 of them were listened to in particular( Listening) sessions, 19 were chosen to go through selection week, 12 were approved and selected, 9 were incubated by Meydan, and the last 3 ideas were adopted by other parties such as (Injaz).
Meydan has embraced 12 ideas so far.
