Event for scrap processors, traders and consumers will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai 5-7 March 2013.

Dubai - Media Fusion and Recycling Today Media Group have selected Dubai as the host city for their first Metals Recycling Conference Middle East event, to take place 5-7 March, 2013.

The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is being organised on a joint venture basis by Dubai-based publisher Media Fusion, the publisher of Waste & Recycling Middle East magazine, and the United States-based Recycling Today Media Group.

"We're thrilled to cooperate with the team at Waste & Recycling Middle East to offer an event for the active metals recycling and trading community in the Middle East," comments Jim Keefe, Group Publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. "The Middle East and adjacent regions have become a vital part of the global scrap trading and metals production industries," adds Keefe.

The event will offer sessions examining commodity markets for nonferrous and ferrous scrap in a global context; updates on customs and regulatory issues affecting traders and shippers; and presentations on processing methods and techniques that are advancing the scrap industry.

The two media organisations have previously collaborated on Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference - Middle East, which enjoyed a successful debut in February 2012. The second version of that conference will take place 3-5 March 2013, also at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai.

"We approached Recycling Today about hosting a metals recycling conference because it is clear our region is gaining prominence in this sector on the global stage," says Dr Kayyum Ali Bohra, CEO of Fusion Media. "Having experienced success with Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference - Middle East, we are confident we can offer metals traders, processors and consumers an outstanding event in the easily accessible and vibrant city of Dubai," says Ali Bohra.
