Over 100 exhibitors from 25 countries at the 10th edition of the exhibition at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre

Dubai, November 27, 2012: The 10th edition of the Middle East Natural & Organic Products (MENOPE 2012) got off to a start today at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre with over 100 exhibitors from 25 countries showcasing their products.

The exhibition was opened by Dr. Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki, Undersecretary, UAE Ministry of Health in the presence of VIPs.

The expo comes at a time when the organic and natural products market in the UAE and the MENA region is growing at rate of 15 per cent year-on-year, propelled by increasing awareness on leading a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

"This year MENOPE is taking place in the context of new regulatory environment instituted by the UAE government bringing an organized focus  to the industry and potential to grow faster than the global average," said Eng. Nadim Al Fuqaha, Managing Director Global Links, the organisers of MENOPE 2012.

MENOPE 2012 will run for three days between November 27-29 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is expected that over 5,000 trade visitors from across the region and the Indian Subcontinent would visit the expo looking for deals and business opportunities. The expo is endorsed by Dubai Municipality and the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. It is supported by International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), ministries of agriculture of Philippines and Malaysia. 

MENOPE 2012 has significant country pavilion participation from Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, USA, Italy, Romania, Spain and the UAE.

In line with its mandate to promote natural and organic product trade and awareness, MENOPE 2012 will also have seminars on healthy diet organised by the not-for-profit body, MEVEG and on alternative medicines.

MENOPE 2012 will showcase a variety of products spanning across Herbals and Spices, Food & Beverages, Cereal Products, Supplements, Health Care products, Natural Living, Natural Cosmetics, Healing Products, Natural remedies, Traditional Medicines, Spas, Relaxation facilities, Pet products and Fabrics.
