The loveable but always dysfunctional Simpson family are making their cinema debut. The Simpsons: The Movie flights in UAE theatres from the 26th July. To alert movie goers to the upcoming animated feature, The Letter Corporation devised a striking washroom and mirror decal campaign.

Running for three consecutive weeks, washroom branding in male and female bathrooms, accompanied by eye-catching mirror decals display the comic faces of Homer, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Marge Simpson.

"Empire International is aware of the advertising success companies have enjoyed utilising the washroom advertising medium and we decided to try it for ourselves," says Celine Akkari from Empire International. "The quality of work produced by TLC is impressive and every frame and mirror decal is always well maintained, and what's more, the medium is undeniably prominent."

The direct booking for Empire International can be seen throughout four well-known shopping malls in the UAE area including Mall Of The Emirates, Deira City Centre, Ibn Battuta Mall and Marina Mall. In total, 450 washroom frames and 150 mirror decals were applicated complimenting a radio, press and television campaign.

"During summer, shopping malls are packed by consumers seeking entertainment," continues Celine. "We chose washroom advertising for its efficacy in reaching a specific target audience advising of the film's imminent release. Washrooms are often visited by consumers and they are then exposed to our communication."
