The step aims to boost communication channels with various media outlets
Dubai (United Arab Emirates): The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that its Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep't has recently launched the "Media Corner" at its website in a bid to enhance joint communication with the press and other mass media channels.
Peyman Younes Parham, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication at RTA's Corporate Support Services Sector said: "This step demonstrates the continuous attention of the RTA to broaden and enhance mutual relations with all media channels, and provide the latest information needed by reporters, editors, news correspondents, and satellite TV channel reporters for compiling reports on various projects & strategic initiatives launched by the RTA.
He added: "RTA always seeks to adopt the best practices and latest technologies in keeping with the drive of e-Government of Dubai. This drive contributes to the objective of rendering top quality service to various customers based on the vision of the RTA to provide safe and smooth transport for all.
"The new portal is multi lingual and multi-dimensional in contents comprising core data, events, bio-data of senior management, hi res photos, new projects & initiatives, videos, and statistics. It also contains a form enabling reporters, editors and media representatives to sign up with the Media Corner in a simple registration process. Once registered, they will be added to the list of recipients of data and updates pertinent to RTA and its agencies, enabling them access to the required details and data in a prompt and more transparent manner," he said.
"RTA considers press and media channels as strategic partners in view of the vital and effective role played by written, audio, visual and electronic media channels in orienting the community to support RTA efforts to achieve multi-modal integration of all transport means such as buses, metro, marine transport and taxis. They also provide valuable contribution in introducing key RTA initiatives in support of mass transit such as Awselni and Sharekni initiatives; which are being applied by the RTA at the highest global standards in this field," Parham concluded.
