· Certification announced on McDonald’s own Appreciation Day for employees
DUBAI: McDonald's UAE has announced its latest certification as a Great Place to Work®, following an independent analysis by Great Place to Work® Middle East. The award was announced at McDonald's UAE Employee Appreciation Day, which celebrated the achievements of its workforce. The award is in recognition of the fair treatment of employees and an inclusive environment that supports employees and makes for a great place to work.
The leading quick service restaurant recognizes the importance of employee satisfaction and gives it the same importance as consumer satisfaction. It does this by creating a work environment that promotes cultural diversity, inclusion, collaboration and engagement. More than 4,000 team members benefit from this focus, enabling them to bring joy to millions of customers across the country.
Recognition as a 'Great Place to Work' is secured through an anonymous survey of employees by the organizer's 'Trust Index©'. This comprehensive survey looks at management, work culture, employee engagement and job satisfaction and also takes into account findings from a questionnaire for management - the Culture Brief©. McDonald's UAE was awarded the title due to excellent feedback from employees, 93% of whom said they were treated fairly regardless of their race, while 93% said they were treated fairly regardless of their gender and 94% said they felt welcome when they joined the company.
Commenting on the certification, Walid Fakih, General Manager at McDonald's UAE, said: "We strive to create the best possible environment for our employees as we recognize the immense value they bring to our business. By empowering our teams and providing them with a wealth of growth opportunities, we have been driving equality and inclusion in our business over the past year and are delighted to receive this recognition. We will continue to foster trust, pride, joy and solidarity among our employees and build on our foundation as a Great Place to Work."
