Cairo, Egypt: – For the first time in West Cairo, MARAKEZ, one of the largest mixed-use developers in Egypt, is opening Mall of Arabia’s doors to the first Fagnoon “Noon” branch.

“This partnership between Fagnoon and MARAKEZ is another example of how we are different in our approach to the Mall of Arabia destination. For us Mall of Arabia is the heart and soul of the community not only a place for world-class shopping” said Basil Ramzy, CEO of MARAKEZ.

Mall of Arabia is Fagnoon’s fourth location across the country following branches in Marioteya, Alexandria and New Cairo. Located within West Cairo’s favorite outdoor destination, The Park, Fagnoon will add to the wide variety of outdoor activities. The Park at Mall of Arabia features a kid’s playground, food and beverage outlets and vast green spaces. The region’s only 8-acre family fun destination has hosted various entertainment events for the residents of 6th of October and Sheikh Zayed for over three years now and continues to raise the bar.

“When Bricks are skills, concrete is art, metal is manners, wood is crafts and surfaces are colors then, it’s time for Fagnoon and MARAKEZ to build families in a cultural way. Noon by Fagnoon is an experience like no other family activity in Egypt,” said Shooma, Fagnoon CEO. “Our partnership with MARAKEZ and latest branch in Mall of Arabia will ensure our unique, art-centered vision to reach even more people every day as we encourage the whole family to explore fun through art.”

Fagnoon is an arts and crafts organization for the whole family to unwind and enjoy activities together. Noon is a modern twist on Fagnoon that still preserves its signature crafts along with art activities and fully equipped facilities for pottery, carpentry, mosaic and accessory making, silk screening, perfume making, ceramic drawing, baking, planting, glass and ceramic drawing, mulch work, drawing, running, dancing, painting, and much more.

One of Fagnoon’s main pillars is children’s creativity; it is a place where children can get messy while being creative and develop new skills. Children will feel free to create while playing and experimenting through art, giving them the chance to utilize their energy in a creative way. Fagnoon’s vision of an ideal society is where freedom of expression, respect for the environment and mutual consideration are the norm. All facilities are designed in a way where children can have a place to develop their innate talents and creativity in an unconstrained environment, and to express themselves freely outside the confines of daily life.

MARAKEZ, one of Egypt’s leading mixed-use real estate developers, is implementing a strategic investment plan in Egypt of more than EGP 20 billion focusing on key projects in Cairo and other governorates. MARAKEZ opened Mall of Tanta in 2019, the largest mall in the Delta region and the El Gharbeya governorate’s first internationally modeled mall, as well as Town Center El Salam in 2020, and plans to open Mall of Mansoura in 2023.

All MARAKEZ properties and Fagnoon branches abide by all COVID-19 safety and precautionary regulations as required by the Ministry of Health.

About Fagnoon

Fagnoon is an arts and crafts organization for the whole family, from toddlers to senior citizens; it is a fun place for all family members to unwind and enjoy activities together. The word Fagnoon comes from two words Thoughts (Fekr) and Gonoon (madness). A place where one can draw, play, run, dance, paint and learn crafts (pottery, wood carpentry, agriculture, baking, jewelry making…). Youngsters and parents can try bread-making in a traditional brick oven and then enjoy their freshly baked bread. Fagnoon values the importance of child’s creativity, and it is the right place to create while playing, giving them the chance to mess around without getting in trouble. While focusing on heavy arts and crafts and maintaining the children’s talents, Fagnoon’s priority is to develop children’s interests and innate talents through the practice of arts.
