16 August 2010 (Dubai, UAE): Manchester Business School (MBS) in the Middle East has become the first business school and academic institution in the UAE and GCC region to have high quality content exclusively created, filmed, produced and broadcast on OneTVO - the global online television organization and corporate communications platform, based in Abu Dhabi. MBS TV (www.onetvo.com/mbs) is pioneering the online TV approach, as a leading international business school which is co-creating content with OneTVO and leveraging the power of digital web-based television technology to educate, inform and inspire more people.
MBS initially approached OneTVO to communicate the 2010 Manchester Innovation Award for Emiratis, which aims to encourage Emirati entrepreneurs and business-minded people to submit innovative ideas for new businesses that benefit the UAE.
Speaking about the launch of MBS TV, Randa Bessiso, MBS Director - Middle East, said: "Manchester Business School has developed a strong presence in the Middle East with over 800 students - all working professionals - studying MBA programmes with us. We have just announced the 2010 Manchester Innovation Award for Emiratis and what better way to communicate this than through an innovative online platform such as OneTVO."
OneTVO is working on a variety of TV shows and corporate TV projects, according to Reg Athwal, Co-founder and Chairman of OneTVO. "MBS TV is the first academic/educational institution for whom we have developed high quality content exclusively broadcast on OneTVO. We have already been working with a UAE based training and event management company, and we have generated a lot of interest in the medium, which can integrate a wide variety of multimedia content."
The MBS Middle East International Executive Centre became the largest in the school's international network in July 2009. The Middle East centre - based in Dubai Knowledge Village - is the largest of the school's seven international executive centres outside the UK (Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Malaysia, Brazil, Miami and the Middle East).
The MBS Worldwide Middle East centre offers four, part-time, post experience MBA programmes for working professionals - Global MBA , MBA for Engineering Business Managers, MBA for Financial Managers and Finance Professionals and MBA for Construction Executives
