New Qatar-based Joint Venture will operate in all major areas of engineering
Agreement signed in presence of Netherlands Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation
Partnership to add greater value to engineering, consultancy and project management services in Qatar

Major Dutch engineering consultancy Royal Haskoning today formalized a joint venture with Qatar-based United Group for Projects that will encompass infrastructure, buildings, water, environment, industry, energy and maritime.
The agreement between the two companies was officiated in a signing ceremony on Thursday in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ben Knapen, Netherlands Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation in the residence of H.E Mr. John Groffen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Doha.
Managing Director of United Group for Projects Mr. Esmat Selim said that "together we aim to add greater value to the services provided in the State of Qatar, especially in engineering, consultancy and project management.
"This joint venture combines the local and regional capability of the United Group for Projects and the international experience of Royal Haskoning to support the significant infrastructure and engineering projects that are currently planned as Qatar strives to achieve the ambitions of the Qatar National Vision 2030," said Mr Esmat.
