Honda Bikes proved their strength and endurance of rugged terrain by winning almost every race during the recently concluded 2004-2005 Motocross Championship and Enduro Championship.
In the 150km off-road cross country and desert Enduro Championship, Honda-supported rider Khalid Khamis, on a small two-wheeler CRF250R4, and Sean Linton, took first and second place on Honda bikes in the Open Category. Jassim Nasser on a Honda CRF250R4 took first position in the Club Category, with third place through to seventh places also taken by Honda bikes. Honda bikes also dominated the Quad Category, won by Atif Zarouni on a Honda TRX450R5.
In the Honda-supported Motocross Championship held at the Dubai Motocross Park in Jebel Ali, Honda riders won all races in the 85cc category with Honda rider Dylan Ballantyne taking the overall championship on his Honda sponsored CR85cc big wheel, followed by Brendan Atkinson and Jason Bohling all riding Honda bikes.
In the combined open class junior and senior races, five times world champion George Jobe won the 125cc category on a Honda CRF250R5, with Honda-sponsored junior rider John Balac taking a well-earned third place on a 125cc. George Jobe also dominated the Open Category on a Honda CRF450R5.
"It's no surprise that Honda bikes dominated so many of the classes in the Motocross and Enduro races," said Robert Klugman, Manager Honda Bikes, Trading Enterprises, at the awards ceremony. "It's been a tremendously exciting season, not only for the riders but for all the Honda mechanics at Trading Enterprises who have given their full support during the races," he added.
A member of the Al-Futtaim Group, Trading Enterprises is the sole distributor for Honda Bikes in the UAE, and offers regular lessons to biking enthusiasts with five times champion rider George Jobe.
