Dubai, UAE, 30 August 2016

LXA, the award-winning hospitality interior design consultancy, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest project, The Rose and Crown, a traditional British pub located at The Atrium, at Al Habtoor City, Dubai.

The Rose and Crown project rounds off a busy period for LXA, which saw the team rebrand from Luxe Interiors and move towards a refreshed company vision. This revised strategy supports the continued growth of LXA as it takes on increasingly high profile GCC ventures.

An authentic English pub in the heart of Dubai, The Rose & Crown, which opens its doors this month, was originally designed to replace the iconic Dubai staple The Red Lion. However, as the design evolved and the site spanned over two floors, the concept changed into a more upscale aesthetic, but still retains its roots as a heritage UAE venue.

The space is divided into several distinct areas, with the ground floor dominated by the bar area, surrounded by booth seating. Victorian tiles work their way from the entrance, wrapping around the bar, surrounded by chevron hardwood floor to inject pattern and colour into the warm wood tones. The walls all dressed in brick, bottle green paint and English inspired wallpaper of thistle and tartan patterns. Seating ranges form comfortable lounge seats to bar stools to accommodate large parties or intimate conversations for two.

The eye is drawn deeper into the library lounge, featuring a genuine cast iron fireplace and an ornate staircase that transports guests to the upper level. Here, the mezzanine acts as a second bar area, housing poser seats and a games area, featuring a traditional darts and billiard table. Don't forget to check out the toilets, where a mix of Victorian and bottle green metro tiles and a little whimsical artwork await the unsuspecting guest.

Whether a night out with friends, some authentic pub food, or to catch the game, the Rose & Crown offers something for everyone.

Sarah-Jane Grant, Partner at LXA, comments, "We are thrilled to finally reveal the work we have put into The Rose and Crown, representing months of planning and site work. This was a particularly special and challenging project for us as we wanted to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional British pub but at the same time give it a chic, clean and modern feel."

Sarah-Jane Grant, David Rooney and Karen Konsal, all highly respected members of both the F&B and hospitality community, head the LXA Dubai team. Offering a strong focus on creativity, design, client delivery and service, LXA strives to offer experienced and highly creative solutions to projects.
