Impressive response to new model across Middle East and Africa
Dubai, UAE, April 29, 2004: Fashion and functionality are proving to be a winning formula for one of LG Electronics’ latest mobile phone launches in the region. The entry-level G1500 combines value for money with an impressive suite of modern features and is already going down a storm with local customers, officials say.
English and Arabic enabled, the G1500 has an attractive blue-light LCD screen, one of its key selling points, as well as a world clock function, WAP, currency converter, and three fun games.
“The G1500 is all about fantastic value,” said Mr P.C Choi, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE. “LG Electronics has a strong portfolio of products that compete at every price point. The G1500 is a quality entry-level package and that’s backed up by the impressive customer response to the phone. Retailing at AED330 (US$90), the G1500 is a genuine bargain for the youth market and anyone shopping on a budget.”
One of 11 LG mobile phones launched in the last 12 months, the G1500 also boasts a 1,024-character messaging facility, built-in answering machine, voice dialling, predictive text, 200-entry phonebook, scheduler, and a powerful battery with three hours of talk time and 200 hours’ standby time.
