Latest mobile platform upgrades multitasking performance regarding moving images and encoding
Dubai, UAE, August 4th, 2008: Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics is showcasing the future of laptop technology with the launch of its latest line of notebooks - the S510, R510 and R410 - which adopt Intel Centrino2, Intel's next generation mobile platform.
With the user convenience in mind, the S510 and R510 feature a 15.4-inch LED Backlit LCD, which presents 50 per cent better and clearer quality of image than the average screens, weighing 2.43 and 2.55 kg respectively while the R410 has a 14.1-inch screen and weighs 2.27kg.
Mr. K.W. Kim, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company, pointed out that the new notebooks allow faster and more stable media-related performance, including HD moving image encoding/editing and multitasking as well as easy connection with peripheral multimedia devices via high speed wireless LAN.

The three new products present perfect materialisation of characteristics of the Montevina Platform. They boast best performance among the same grade products with best specifications available including Intel Core™2 Duo Processor, P7350, 3MB L2 Cache, 2.0GHz, 1066MHz FSB and Nvidia Geforce 9600M and 9300M graphic which executes 30-40 per cent faster multimedia performance than others in any working environment.
The designs of the R410 and R510 were inspired by the sunrise and moonrise to create a sophisticated attractive looking exterior. All three products are available in the market at prices ranging from US$740 to US$1,534 for the R410, US$1342 to 1,560 for R510 and US$1,534 onwards for the S510.
LG Electronics plan to launch 12-inch, 13.3-inch and 17-inch laptops in the Middle East in August.
