Manama, Bahrain - Monday, June 1st, 2008: The Labour Fund - Career Progression Programme (CPP) managed by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting, got off to a flying start with 100 Bahraini private sector employees being seconded by their companies for additional skills training.
The participants in the programme represent a wide range of private sector companies and different career paths, from HR officers and customer service officers to cashiers, security officers and telephone operators. They are linked by a unifying desire to improve their skills in areas such as English language, communication skills, customer service and team-work so that they can be more productive and see improvement in their career goals achievement and job satisfaction levels.
The CPP project is designed to improve Bahraini manpower by training employees who are within the basic salary range of BD200- BD400. It aims to provide training to over 500 Bahrainis in the pilot phase. The project is supervised by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting, taps into the facilities and expertise available in Bahrain-based training service providers for the completion of the skills enhancement. The training providers have been pre-qualified to work under the CPP.
"The training is an outcome to the Training Need Analysis conducted for employees to improve their skills at their current capacities and enhance their productivity" said Dr Ehsan Ghurbal LF-CPP project manager at BDO Jawad Habib Consulting. "We are looking forward to deploy more for training as we believe that this programme will make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of Bahraini's by enhancing their careers and income", he added.
The Career Progression Centre (CPC) is located on the 3rd floor at Al Ezz Tower (off-the Exhibition Avenue) and is exclusively dedicated to receive requests, enquiries and support the execution of this programme. Employers in the private sector can participate in the programme by nominating their eligible Bahraini employees.

The Labour Fund
The CPP is designed and fully sponsored by the Labour Fund to benefit the Bahraini employees in the private sector.

Under the CPP; the Labour Fund subsidises the HR consulting fees, the training cost and the salary increase of BD50 for the first 12 months.
