Golden Arrow - exclusive distributor in Jordan
Amman - Al Safi Danone launched its operations in Jordan marking the occasion with a celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman on Saturday last, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Khaled Al Abdulla Al Faisal, President and CEO of Faisaliah Group Co, Ltd., sole owners of Al Safi Danone. In attendance as well was George Sioufi, Executive Board Member of Golden Arrow Food Distribution, exclusive distributor of Al Safi Danone products in the GCC and now Jordan.
On this occasion, Prince Mohammad highlighted the importance of Saudi-Jordanian bilateral commercial ties, substantiated with Jordan's imports of optimum Saudi products quality that conform to international standards and specifications. HRH further expressed his delight in Safi Danone's launch in the Jordanian market which would ultimately contribute to a further strengthening of cooperation and fruitful relations between both brethren countries - Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Prioritizing R&D as the company's core policy, HRH said: "Safi Danon achieved many gains in the past seven years and since its inception, the most distinguished of which is its investments in R&D (Research and Development), which increased the number of products to 25. The Company has provided Saudi youth with employment opportunities, in a healthy environ, which in turn increased production and ultimately- revenues."
?Sioufi on the other hand, highlighted the importance of this occasion and its role in providing the Jordanian public with the opportunity to try Al Safi Danone's lavish delights, which enjoy optimum expansion levels in the GCC. Siuofi also showcased Al Safi Danone's wide variety of products ranging from dairy, juices, biscuits and other products enjoying premium quality that have without doubt played a major role in raising the bar of superiority in the FMCG sector.
As a result of the strategic partnership between Faisaliah Group Co, Ltd and Danone International in 2001, Al Safi Danone is the region's largest dairy farm owning over 32,000 heads of Holstein breed cattle, known to be the world's highest production dairy animal, In addition to 13,000 cows producing more than 165 million liters annually.
With the largest transportation fleet of more than 500 refrigerating outlets serving 28,000 retailers in 25 regional distribution points, Al Saudi Danone holds the largest regional network and launches an average of 4 new products a year.
