Region's premier dedicated wood and wood working machinery exhibition to feature products and services of 200 exhibitors coming from 40 countries
The largest edition of the 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show', the regional landmark event for wood trade and investment, is set to open tomorrow (April 5, 2011) according to a statement issued by Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions (SME), organizers of the event. Established as the Middle East region's premier and dedicated wood and wood working machinery exhibition, 'Dubai WoodShow', will feature products and services of over 200 exhibitors coming from 40 countries from around the world. The increased usage of wood as an essential building material and the increased demand for more wood working machinery are the key focus points in this year's edition of 'Dubai WoodShow', which will run until April 7, 2011 at the Dubai Airport Expo.
This year's edition of 'Dubai WoodShow' will feature key activities like strategic four-hour daily thought leadership conferences. Aiming to attract more local and regional participation, the organizers are offering new features and parallel events like expanded program offerings and improved matchmaking meetings - giving users the advantage of strengthening trade networks and increasing lead opportunities. In addition, the success of the 'Dubai WoodShow' has prompted Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions to expand into newer markets like Abu Dhabi and Cairo with the announcement of a 'Cairo WoodShow' edition in September and an 'Abu Dhabi WoodShow' edition in October later this year.
"We are very excited to present our largest edition of 'Dubai WoodShow' ever - showcasing the products and services of 200 exhibitors coming from 40 different global locations," said Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions. "This year, we are looking to stir in more active participation from exhibitors, visitors and other participants at 'Dubai WoodShow', which aims to act as a strategic platform for decision makers, buyers, prospectors and wood professionals and help address the growing demands and tackle other significant issues in the region's wood industry. This year's edition looks towards helping participants develop strategic new partnerships and reinforce existing trade relationships."
'Dubai WoodShow' is set to feature exhibitors from over 11 different specialized sections featuring key products and services like materials, chemical products, surfaces, interior decorations, elements and systems, fittings, semi-finished products, upholstery materials, fabrics and leathers, power tools and services. The different sections will showcase essential wood products like finishing and fittings; furniture supplies; plywood and hardboards; chipboards; wood and timber flooring; wooden crafts and arts and other wood based products and materials. Some of the latest woodworking machinery for timber processing, cladding, boring, bleaching and wood treatment will also be on display during the three-day event. 'Dubai WoodShow' aims to give visitors a new perspective on key global trends, designs, initiatives and collaborations from manufacturers and suppliers participating in the show.
"We are expecting to see more than 8,000 visitors in this year's event, thereby affirming our mark as the largest ever wood and wood machinery exhibition in the MENA region. 'Dubai WoodShow' is also being supported by EUMABOIS, a non-profit Federation grouping of 13 national associations representing the major European manufacturers of machines and accessories for woodworking and boasts of more than 800 member companies. The strong show of confidence from key associations like EUMABOIS and the overwhelming response that we have received from previous editions have helped in consolidating our leadership in the wood and wood working machinery trade exhibition segment of the region and also complements our vision of providing participants and visitors with the latest design trends, products and modern machinery in the wood industry, "concluded Dawood Al Shezawi.
The 'Dubai WoodShow' is the largest convention for distributors, suppliers, interior designers, furniture manufacturers, carpenters, wholesale traders & retailers, building material manufacturers, construction suppliers, project developers and precise target segments. The event has created more than half a billion dollars worth of trade for exhibitors and trade professionals since it started in 2005 and has showcased the products and services of 700 exhibitors to more than 25,000 visitors.
