The printer dock 6000 the world’s first combined printer-and-dock for digital cameras gives consumers the ultimate in printing convenience and the immediacy of Kodak prints at home. The printer dock 6000 produces prints with vivid colour and the printing process automatically adds a special XtraLife laminate coating, which helps ensure the prints are durable, waterproof, and lasts a life time just like prints from traditional photographic processes. Kodak EasyShare DX6340
The 3.1 megapixel (MP) camera features a fully automatic mode, as well as advanced creative controls for the photographer who wants to do more, including aperture and shutter priority modes, as well as sport, night, portrait, landscape, macro and regular program modes. The camera’s new high-speed precision auto-focus system, while providing focus lock capability in almost complete darkness, also offers exceptionally fast click-to-capture times.
The large maximum aperture of the f/2.2-13 Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 4X zoom lens is the result of close collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach, the German developer of high quality, technologically advanced lenses. The DX6340 lens delivers professional-level sharpness and brightness across the image, and in addition, the camera’s new high-speed auto-focus system allows an impressive flash range of almost 6 metres (20 feet). EasyShare system features
Each camera in this years EasyShare range has a set of features common amongst the range that are central to Kodak’s ease of use and sharing ethos. This year’s range of cameras each feature a “Share” button which allows a person to immediately select printing, emailing and mark as favourite options on the screen.
The “Share” button which is an integral feature in this years EasyShare system, tags images for printing, email or as favourites at the time of review. When the pictures are transferred from the camera to PC the EasyShare software automatically picks up on these tags and generates emails as requested and sends images to print with the minimum of effort from the user. The cameras also let consumer’s store up to 32 e-mail addresses on the camera for simple photo sharing.
The Kodak EasyShare cameras also offer an automatic picture rotation feature that makes pictures taken vertically appear right side up on the camera, computer or television. In addition, these cameras are always ready to snap pictures by depressing the shutter button, regardless of what mode or menu may currently be active.
Kodak EasyShare software
All of Kodak’s EasyShare digital cameras are boxed with Kodak’s new EasyShare software which provides effortless digital picture transfer, organisation, editing, emailing, and printing.
Perfect prints are now possible everytime, thanks to the ‘One Touch to Better Pictures’ button, which automatically creates richer, truer colours and professional looking prints in a single fuss-free step. Unlike any other software package, it automatically adjusts the print and ink settings on more than 70 popular inkjet printers, to ensure the best possible quality of your home prints.
Kodak understands that people taking pictures want to spend their time sharing and printing their images, not fiddling with printer and email settings; the Kodak EasyShare software therefore:
* Allows you to ‘Name’ individual and groups of pictures transferred from your camera to make image organising, storing and retrieving easier than ever before.
* Recognises all of the images on your PC, no matter what they’re called or where they are saved and creates a photo album of thumbnail prints.
* Shows you exactly how the image will look on paper before you print which saves time, waste and money.
* Allows quick picture improvement including one click red-eye reduction, cropping and light correction.
The EasyShare system brings the benefit of simplicity to people in the digital age by integrating digital cameras, imaging networks and services / media into one system. The EasyShare camera portfolio, inkjet papers and online photofinishing is an example of how Kodak is taking advantage of the ever increasing infoimaging market by connecting devices to its infrastructure, online services and media to provide people with easy ways to print and share great pictures. Infoimaging is an industry created by the convergence of images and information technology.
