Kuwait International Bank announced that Mr.Nisar Ahmed Khan (Head -Business Continuity Management) has won BCI (Business Continuity Institute) ASIA "Business Continuity Manager of the Year 2012 Award".
Mr. Khan received his distinguished award at the 10th Asian Business Continuity Conference (ABCC), which was held earlier this month over two days in Singapore under the theme of"Business Resiliency in the Face of Global Change: Adapting Your BCM to Today's Issues and Trends."
Mr.Khan was also nominated in the Global Business Continuity Manager of the Year 2012 award , at the" BCI Global Awards" where he was announced as Highly Commended at the BCI Gala Dinner of the BCM World Conference and Exhibition 2012, held, Madame Tussauds museum in London, on November 7th, 2012.
On this occasion, Mr.Khan commented" I am proud to win the BCIASIA prestigious award and for being Highly Commended at the Business Continuity Institute Global Awards. I consider these two honours as recognition of my dedication, experience, and commitment to the business continuity sector.
Mr.Khan noted that "This reward truly reflects Kuwait International Bank's commitment to maintain and implement the highest level of Business Continuity Planning on international standards. It is as well a tangible proof on KIB achievement of its objectives, out of which is to be a permanent and secured partner to its customers.
Khan expressed his excitement to participate in the ABCC and The BCI Global conferences, saying: "The conferences allowed participants to receive first-hand information from subject matter experts on best practices and adaptation strategies in the Business Continuity industry.
Khan pointed that "Kuwait International Bank Business Continuity Division extensive practices and preplanning is key factors of success in facing unexpected crisis results from internal or external risks." Khan then concluded by extending his appreciation to (KIB) Management for their support during his internal and external assignments.
