Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain - 13 April, 2009: Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) announced today the launch of its new Visa Electron Debit Card. This new card will allow Cardholders to have broader accessibility to their funds anywhere in the world with extra protection and security.

KHCB Visa Electron is one of the first issued Debit Cards on the island with the enhanced Chip security that is compliant with EMV standards. With the new Chip based card, cardholders can now enjoy more secured access to their funds through millions of retailers virtually anywhere they travel.

Ebrahim, CEO and Board Member commented on the launch of KHCB Visa Electron Card, "With the successful launch of our new Visa Electron Debit Card, we are providing our customers with services that conform to global standards. Our previous proprietary ATM cards were limited to Bahrain and the GCC, with regard to network accessibility. Whereas, this new Visa Electron card will allow our banking customers to shop and to conduct their banking needs anywhere in the world knowing that their transactions are secure."
