Push harder; go further at the JW Marriott Dubai's Fitness Challenge

DUBAI, U.A.E. - July 30, 2007 - It's Back! The ultimate test of strength, endurance and total body fitness returns to the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai this August.

The JW's Fitness Challenge will take place on August 31st in the hotel's spacious Deira Ballroom. Teams of two are invited to put their strength and endurance to the test as they work their way through eight separate disciplines to emerge triumphant.

Widely regarded among the Dubai fitness community as the pinnacle of achievement, this year's event will deliver a Fitness Challenge with a difference. "We wanted to create a challenge that tested both strength and cardiovascular fitness," explained Recreation Manager at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai, Chris De Nil.

"Strength and cardiovascular fitness will be tested as two separate units combined to achieve a single score. The one day event will consist of eight exercises. The first five events will test upper body strength, while the last three will test cardiovascular endurance," Chris added.

In addition to personal achievement and recognition there are a number of top prizes to be won from event sponsors. These include air tickets courtesy of Air Arabia, state-of-the-art equipment and watches.

Top sponsors include Air Arabia, Al Kamda, Tag Heuer, Sun & Sand Sports, Sports One, Nike, Pocari Sweat, Power Print and Almarai.

The JW Marriott Dubai's Fitness Challenge takes place on August 31st, at the Deira Ballroom of the hotel.
