Dubai, April 18, 2004: Jumbo Electronics, the UAE-based consumer electronics, telephony, IT and office automation giant, has unveiled a range of Sony television equipped with Wega Engine technology.
“Wega Engine”, a revolutionary technology in the world of colour televisions, is now available in various models of Sony televisions, commemorating the consumer giant’s innovation and leadership in the television industry.

The WEGA Engine range of CRT and Projection TV models, debut the proprietary WEGA Engine, which delivers superb picture quality from any video source by minimizing the number of analog to digital conversion processes and maximizing picture performance. The WEGA Engine signal noise by digitally processing signals and creates clearer picture quality. Sony has been gradually adopting this WEGA Engine TVs, introduced in the UAE market in early 2004. WEGA Engine produces better image definition, low noise with lower attenuation and quicker processing. The WEGA Engine is an integrated digital high-quality picture system developed to further improve on the technology of the WEGA Trinitron TV. It is used with various display devices including CRT televisions and projection televisions and is compatible with various signal types, including traditional terrestrial signals and digital high definition signals.
