Amman, Jordan-07 September 2006- Jotun Paints has unveiled its latest decorative product offering named 'Pearl'. The new finish provides a whole new concept in decorative effects by creating a unique Mother of Pearl finish for interior walls. The new product was made available across the region in June 2006.
Pearl's distinct high quality shimmer responds to the positioning and intensity of any light source or intelligent lighting solution, allowing the soft wavy effects normally found in a real pearl to shine through. Adding a new dimension in terms of interior solutions, Pearl can provide a dramatic or subtle backdrop to match any designer's objectives.
When asked to comment on this new product, Linda Al Tarifi, Regional Interior Concept Manager at Jotun Paints, said, "This product is going to enable designers to achieve something that currently no other product can. When applied correctly, Pearl can be combined with intelligent lighting to create a lustrous or tranquil backdrop for a room, enabling designers to use interior walls as a design asset, impressing clients who are better informed of special finishes and are more demanding of them. The product also has practical benefits as it is easy to clean and environmentally friendly. We therefore anticipate that it will be a popular finish for contemporary hotels, apartments and villas."
Available in four colour 'families', Retreats, Expression , Feng Shui and Agency, Pearl is anticipated to be a successful decorative offering from Jotun Paints' premium range.
"In today's market there is a trend for muted metallics, symbolising the modern day we live in and its textures. In addition to allowing designers to incorporate an extra feature in terms of wall finish, Pearl will add a new perspective in terms of lighting solutions" Al Tarifi continued.
The product which is a high quality water borne product has been designed for interior use only and should be applied by trained painters to achieve maximum results.
