Dubai UAE - Jebel Ali International Hotels have taken environmental conservation seriously and supported yet another good cause by participating in the EEG Beach Clean Up Campaign 2007. All Seven emirates in the UAE participated in the campaign with 20,000 volunteers in total.
Visitors leave a variety of debris on Dubai's beaches, endangering the lives of many sea birds and other marine creatures. Food wrappers, packaging and cigarettes, can be very detrimental to marine life, it is therefore very important to remove the risk of this debris.
Over 50 members of staff from various departments within the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, the Oasis Beach Hotel and the Oasis Beach Tower, dedicated time to the clean up. They successfully collected 605kg of waste from the beach. Hotel associates were very pleased with their efforts and were keen to express their ongoing support for environmental issues.
