BDO Jawad Habib, the BDO International Member Firm in Bahrain held a Audit Methodology and Risk Management training event from 24th to 27th November 2008 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Manama. The training workshop covered the complete BDO International Audit Methodology including planning, client acceptance, sensitivity, risk based approach, materiality and significance etc. as well as the usage of BDO's audit software, "BDO Compass3", and the accounts production software, "CompassLite". The course also included updates on International Financial Reporting Standards which are provided to the team on a regular basis throughout the year.
Mr. Bart Eversdijk, International HR and Training Coordinator, from the BDO International Executive Office in Brussels, led the workshop and was assisted by Mr Nath Venkitachalam from the Bahrain office. Bart is a trainer with more than 20 years experience and has conducted similar courses for BDO Member Firms throughout the world. More than 40 participants joined the workshop which included professional staff from BDO offices in Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
