- Offering Space to Work or Room to Relax -
Following the Middle East launch of the flagship Jaguar XJ model last year, the prestigious automotive brand has announced plans to expand the luxury saloon range by launching a new XJ Long Wheelbase version in the Middle East in September this year.
Apart from being the longest wheelbase in its class, and offering an increase in leg and headroom, the XJ version is also the lightest, with a minimal weight increase of just 24kg. Combined with the agility and driving dynamics for which the XJ saloon is already renowned, this makes the new long wheelbase Jaguar as impressive from the driver's seat as it is from the rear passenger seat.
Andy Gawthorpe, Managing Director, Jaguar Middle East & North Africa said: "The new Long Wheelbase model adds another dimension to the XJ line-up, offering more space, more comfort, more luxury and convenience without compromising style or driving pleasure in any way. This is a car that will almost certainly appeal to our discerning customers in the Middle East."
Not only is there 999mm greater room for rear-seat passengers in the new XJ Long Wheelbase, but it also offers a choice of seat configurations, new trim and specification options, and a comprehensive range of comfort and equipment options. These include folding Business Tray work-tables, voice-activated four-zone climate control with individual rear passenger settings and a multi-media system with iPod, MP3 player and DVD connectivity, plus facility for rear display screens and telephone conference calls.
The distinctive XJ style is uncompromised in the Long Wheelbase version, which also enjoys all the lightweight, high-strength advantages of Jaguar's technically advanced, aluminium bodyshell, and a supercharged 4.2 litre V8 engine.
With the same controlled and comfortable ride, composed handling and communicative steering as the standard wheelbase XJ saloon, the new XJ Long Wheelbase is a true driver's car in the Jaguar tradition.
