Company's COO speaks at event about branding in the social media age
Solidifying its leadership in the industry, Jacky's Electronics, the UAE's leading multi-brand electronics retailer, received this year's Superbrand status for eight consecutive years since 2004.
The Jacky's brand is now 43 years old and has been present in the UAE for over 25 years now. During the Superbrands Tribute event on June 4, 2013, the company's COO, Ashish Panjabi, spoke to the audience about the importance of maintaining and growing one's brand image in the social media age. The role of brand custodians has changed considerably with the growth of social networks and examples of how the UAE has benefited from this were also highlighted.
Jacky's was recognised for consistently working to reinforce its brand image by continually investing in the people behind the brand. The company also upholds a high level of customer service and was awarded by the Bureau of Assessment Service (BAS), accredited by Dubai Accreditation Centre, with ISO 10002:2004 Certification for Customers Complaints System. This certification has set apart Jacky's among other electronic retailers in the UAE as it consistently raises the bar in handling and addressing customer complaints.
Jacky's was one of a select number of brands in the UAE from over 800 short listed companies to receive the prestigious Superbrand Status, which is considered as the 'Oscars of Branding'. The company, one of the first consumer electronics retailers to be recognised by the UAE Superbrands Council, will be included in the ninth edition of the Superbrands coffee-table book.
