Brussels - I.R.I.S. Group, a publicly traded company (Euronext: IRI), market leader in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Electronic Document Management (EDM) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) announced today the launch of IRISCapture Pro 8 for Invoices, one of the most advanced professional solution to automatically process invoices.
Nowadays, companies' accounting departments work with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: they help them to manage debits and credits, but they require the invoice data! A recent study conducted by the American market research company Power Decisions Group is explaining that companies spend an average of $15 to process an invoice manually and encode its data.
Today, I.R.I.S. presents the solution to replace the manual data encoding by a fast, accurate and automated process. IRISCapture Pro 8 for Invoices is based on 20 years expertise in document imaging and allows to:

This improvement allows now I.R.I.S. to enter the US invoice processing market, where companies don't have a VAT number (main data for the supplier identification in Europe).

With these new features, you can now define your own validation screens and custom IRISCapture Pro for Invoices to meet your most exacting demands.

New databases for Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Serbia NEW
The IRISCapture Pro for Invoices databases have been extended to four Northern European Countries and Serbia (1 Latin and 1 Cyrillic alphabet). IRISCapture Pro 8 for Invoices is currently also able to recognize invoices from Belgium, France, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and the USA. In addition, it is possible to configure a database for invoices from other countries.
Key Features of IRISCapture Pro 8.0 for Invoices
With version 8 of its invoice recognition software, I.R.I.S. also brings three fully integrated versions of IRISCapture Pro for Invoices on the market: IRISCapture for Line BOB, IRISCapture for Ligne 100 and IRISCapture for Kodak Capture Software 6.9. The advantage of those systems is that they are complete, easy to install, and require few or no parameterization.
Scanning of new invoices is initiated from Line BOB, Ligne 100 or Kodak Capture Software, the recognition and processing will be automatically performed, the results are available immediately in the solution IRISCapture has been integrated with, the validation workflow of both products have been completely integrated.
IRISCapture for Line BOB
Ligne BOB is an accountancy and management program range developed especially for SMBs and the Belgian "fiduciaires".
Launched for the first time at the occasion of I.R.I.S.' IPM 2006, IRISCapture for Line BOB presents two unique and very useful features.
The first particularity of the program is that it will allow you, not only to avoid retyping errors that could occur if the data is entered manually, but also to be sure of the exactness of every listed amount on the purchase invoice. Indeed, each amount is checked by comparing it with other amounts on the same invoice, thus avoiding any calculation mistake. Moreover, the same invoice cannot be entered twice thanks to a multiple-criteria checking of the invoice presence in the database.
Regarding to the Belgian Fiduciaires it is important to stress that IRISCapture for Line BOB allows them to process both their providers' and clients' invoices. What is more, they won't have to ask their clients to send them the paper documents: sending them by e-mail will be enough. Once received, it is captured and imported into the accounting software database. IRISCapture for Invoices tables of data are synchronized automatically with Line BOB's database.
IRISCapture for Line 100*
Contrary to Line BOB, whose aim is to facilitate the specific relation between Belgian SMB's and the Fiduciaires, Line 100 has a larger audience and suits the needs of any SMB on the French, Belgian and Luxembourgish territories. That means that a lot more companies are now able to benefit from the advantages of an ERP system combined with Intelligent Document Recognition.
Just as for IRISCapture for Line BOB, the IRISCapture for Invoices tables of data will be synchronized automatically with the Line 100 database.
Scanning of new invoices is initiated from Line 100. The recognition and processing will then be automatically performed and the results are available immediately in Line 100. The validation workflow of both products have been completely integrated and the image of the invoice will be available at all time during the lifecycle of the invoice and throughout the invoice processing workflow of Line 100.
*Please note that the Sage product we are referring to is specifically dedicated to the French and Belgian territories. Indeed, Sage develops and sells other products with the same denomination in different countries but which present specific features that suit the local markets and legal accounting rules.
IRISCapture for Kodak Capture Software 6.9
Thanks to I.R.I.S. Fastlink, IRISCapture Pro for Invoices has been fully integrated with Kodak Capture Software, one of the most popular scanning and indexing application of the market which supports all the Kodak Scanner product line.
I.R.I.S. Fastlink allows IRISCapture Pro for Invoices to support the specific features of Kodak Capture Software. Indeed, it is fully dual-stream compliant and can therefore take advantages of dual-stream scanning features with the Kodak scanners (simultaneous scanning in color and bitonal). Thanks to this "bridge" that has been created between both products, IRISCapture is also able to recognize the indexes from Kodak Capture Software.
Pricing and availability
IRISCapture for Invoices is available for international distribution through our network of value added resellers which are specialized in imaging, ERP or accounting applications. For a one-user configuration, pricing will range from 1.490 to 17.000 depending on the number of invoices to be processed per month. IRISCapture Pro Studio costs 3.990 .
