The CWC Group understands the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility and has included a panel discussion in their programme for the Iraq Mega Projects 2010 Conference & Exhibition, which is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey at the Hilton Hotel on 26- 28 October 2010. The discussion will highlight the benefits to the contract winners of adopting a Social Responsible approach when conducting business in Iraq.
It is vital, after discussions with some of the contract award winners that Corporate Social Responsibility is planned correctly from day one and this is a concern to many involved in the re-building of Iraq. When you look at parts of the world where this has not been handled correctly it can have repercussions for years to come, both to the communities and to the stake holder. Iraq Mega Projects is an event developed by the industry for the industry. Therefore two sessions will be dedicated to the full range of issues involved with planning for correct Corporate Social Responsibility, focusing on training, technology transfer, recruitment, community engagement, security, local suppliers and human resources. It is a united effort between all parties involved in the petroleum contracts and with the local Iraqis.
The Conference & Exhibition will bring together the world's leading contractors and field operators, the most important aspects to drive Iraq and its energy industry forward. Exhibitors such as Shell, Total, Halliburton and KBR will be part of the buyers and sellers forum, where oil & gas operators can meet all the necessary providers. The event will provide a number of networking opportunities for exhibitors and delegates to meet face-to-face with senior officials, to strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, and most importantly to do deals!
