Intergence continues its research into new telecom innovations

Dubai UAE and Cambridge, UK - Intergence Systems, a leading independent IT optimisation company, today announced that it has secured £100,000 of grant funding from the East of England Development Agency and European Regional Development Fund to develop resource allocation software. This research which will take input from the Cambridge academic community is focused on ensuring that data centres, networks and other IT assets can maximise their efficiencies. In 2008, Intergence Systems embarked on an ambitious programme to develop software and services to support organisations worldwide with their need to reduce ICT based power consumption and optimise their infrastructures, particularly around data centres and networks. These solutions are focused on advanced energy monitoring across global networks and virtualisation. Their developments have leveraged the strong academic and entrepreneurial communities within Cambridge and already won support from other innovation funds granted by UK government including the Technology Strategy Board (TSB).

Peter Job, Intergence's CEO commented, 'This is another exciting step for Intergence and further underscores our research and development of exciting new optimisation technology for the ICT sector. We are already in the process of launching two exciting new products this year and this new research grant from EEDA will assist in finding new techniques to solve real problems of IT resource allocation. We are confident that this will lead to new product developments and at least  8 to 10 new jobs for Cambridge and the Eastern region"
