Manama, Bahrain, 20th May 2014: The InterContinental Regency Bahrain, one of the leading 5 star hotels in the Kingdom, hosted the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Food & Beverage Leaders Workshop KSA & Gulf 2014 - Be #1 in Food & Beverage on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May 2014, bringing together Food & Beverage leaders from 40 IHG properties in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.

Participants from around 40 IHG properties from the GCC attended the workshop where a line-up of speakers including Sten von Kuhn, Food & Beverage Program Manager - Global & AMEA (Asia, Middle East & Africa) at IHG, Amith Khanna, Director of Guest Experience & Continuous Improvement - IMEA (India, Middle East & Africa) at IHG and Mohammed Fawzi, Area Director of Finance & Business Support - K.S.A. & Gulf at IHG, shared their experiences and insights on the Food & Beverage Industry.
The speakers addressed a number of important topics relevant to the F&B industry, some of which were guest satisfaction and improvement of quality standards. They also discussed the upcoming training programs and related workshops. All the participants also had the opportunity to meet different food & beverage suppliers from all over the region of AMEA.
The workshop was organized by Josef Sorger, Regional Manager for Saudi Arabia, Cedric Gaillard, Resident Manager for InterContinental Doha The City and Justin Wermers, Food & Beverage Manager for InterContinental Regency Bahrain, to share the best practices of the regional food & beverage quality improvement and to introduce the new F&B online training tool called "Lobster Ink".
