Muscat- Informative sessions held at GHEDEX from 20-22 April at the Oman International Exhibition Centre from 9:30am-1:00pm & 4:30pm-9:00pm will add further value to Oman's leading event for Higher Education, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education. OITE Trade Fairs invites you to take a look at these sessions which will give attendees insight on important facets related to higher education.

The Oman Academic Accreditation Authority is tasked with regulating the quality of higher education in Oman to ensure maintenance of a level that meets international standards as well as encouraging higher education institutions to improve their internal quality. Dr. Tess Goodliffe/ Mrs. Fakhriya Al Habsi will explain the role of OAAA in National Intuitional and Program Accreditation in Oman.

The Ministry of Education is avid to lay on premium standards of learning environment on all measures focusing principally on the education process and its key elements. Mr. Khalil Al Balushi from MoE will take us through the programs of the National Career Guidance Centre (NCGC) of Oman.

High quality education, Internationally-oriented programs, lower cost of living & affordable tuition fees make Cyprus a wonderful place for students to receive high quality education, which Ms. Stephanie, Lecturer in Public Health-Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and public Health in association with Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health will elaborate on through her presentation.

With a plethora of construction projects underway in Oman, the demand for Engineers is significantly high in the region. Inviting attendees to capitalize on the moment, Dr. Sarvanan Am from Caledonian College will give them a peripheral view on Engineering and all that the profession entails.

Mr. Vito Di Paola - Consul, US Embassy (Visa operations) will guide attendees on the smooth process for applying for a student visa to the US.

UK universities and colleges offer thousands of excellent courses, leading to qualifications that are respected by employers and academics worldwide.  For those students opting for UK higher education qualifications, Mrs. Elisabeth Lazarus, Senior Lecturer in Education, University of Bristol will be available to offer counsel on postgraduate education programmes in the UK.  

The objective of educators is learning about and incorporating the latest learning and teaching methodologies used to stimulate entrepreneurship among students. Along these lines, Mr. Madhu Surya / Dr. Edwin Bernal from Middle East College will stress on the importance of entrepreneurship to the society.

The US remains the number one destination for many students with aspirations of attaining higher education. To aid students planning to study in the US, Ms. Joana Schenke-Vice Consul, US Embassy will explain the procedure for applying for a student visa to the US while Ms. Laila Kabbash, Educational Advisor, Amideast will educate students on how to choose a University. Encouraging students to adopt a hands-on approach to education, Mr. Jonathan Whittaker, Partner & Founding Member- The New York Film Academy- will show them how to create a visual metaphor by using a film camera to communicate stories.

Professional qualifications acquired in Lithuania are recognized abroad. Besides, Lithuania has signed agreements on academic exchanges with 16 countries around the world. Mr. Linas Repečka from Study in Lithuania will provide an Informatory session on studies in Lithuania, general information, study programs, how to apply and the advantages of Lithuanian higher education

The IELTS Masterclass by IDP Education will help students understand what examiners are looking for and get a detailed understanding of the assessment criteria as will be covered by Ms. Marilyn Cleland, Masterclass Presenter, IDP Education Pty Ltd through her presentation.
